Granulated lime Granulated Lime leads to optimal soil pH reaction
it brings to the soil an important nutrient which is calcium and has a beneficial effect
on physical properties of the soil. Contents in the soil humus in the presence of calcium improves
soil structure, which contributes to maintaining favorable conditions for plants
air and water. Very high solubility stimulates the soil to quickly change pH and proper development
and crop growth.
Many natural and agrotechnical factors determine the efficiency of liming. One of them is just right
soil reaction. In Poland, the vast majority of cultivated plants requires slightly acidic soils - with pH close to neutral.
Unfortunately, over 70% of soils used for agriculture in the country are classified as acidic and very acidic, therefore it is necessary to
periodic liming.
Liming should be done at least 2-3 weeks before using other fertilizers. For organizational reasons
and technical terms, the best period for liming is the post harvest period (for stubble). Immediately after liming, plants should not be sown.
